It's still wild to me that I get to make jewelry with real fossilized dinosaur bone, but here in Utah you can find it so easily rockhounding in the desert, though you're no longer allowed to collect it on BLM land. Any dinosaur bone I use is purchased through fellow rockhounds who have a private claim or from collections pre-1970.
I cut and polished these stones in my lapidary studio + set them in fine silver bezels with one sterling silver prong. Oxidized sterling silver with hand-cut sterling accents.
Please note! These do have some weight to them. They're not super heavy but definitely wouldn't be labeled as lightweight. If you're looking for my typical lightweight earrings these won't be for you.
Approximate drop length: just under 1.5 inches
Each piece of jewelry I make is made entirely by me in my home studio in Salt Lake City, Utah. I use traditional metalsmithing techniques meaning I cut, saw, solder, file, form + polish everything by hand (and torch!) While I may continuously bring certain styles back no two stones are ever identical so your piece is truly one-of-a-kind.
