Vintage turquoise + Sonoran Gold turquoise, sterling + fine silver.
Vintage turquoise on top with a teeny Sonoran Gold turquoise stone sitting below. Each wrapped in a fine silver bezel onto oxidized sterling sheet. Sterling details frame the stones with hand-cut accents. Hangs from a 16 inch popcorn chain.
Approximate dimensions of stone setting: about 1.05" long, .75" wide
The jump ring that connects the necklace to the chain is not soldered together as it usually is. I had a smaller jump ring on it previously and set the stone before I realized that a necklace chain wouldn't pass through the jump ring size I used. So I snipped it off and used this larger one. It's a thick gauge wire so it won't open up on you but I still decided to discount this necklace slightly to accommodate for the slight imperfection.
Each piece of jewelry I make is made entirely by me in my home studio in Salt Lake City, Utah. I use traditional metalsmithing techniques meaning I cut, saw, solder, file, form + polish everything by hand (and torch!) While I may continuously bring certain styles back no two stones are ever identical so your piece is truly one-of-a-kind.
