Dendritic Agate + sterling silver.
Dendritic agates are some of my favorite stones to use. People often mistake these stones for pressed flowers or think I've painted scenes onto these stones but they are actually totally natural stones! The pattern in each stone is created by iron and/or manganese oxide deposits inside of the stone. Each one unique and one-of-a-kind.
Inspired by slot canyons, desert towers + all the good feelings the desert brings me, when each hoop is layered on top of the other it gives a three dimensional view of a slot canyon.
Each stone is wrapped in a fine silver bezel and set onto oxidized sterling silver sheet. A hand formed hoop with the textured half of a slot canyon hang below from a jump ring giving these earrings so much movement. These are surprisingly lightweight and are so beautiful on!
